Náhlov
Site Description
Náhlov offers the best Brazilian coffee far and wide, as the former German school houses the Patriots Museum of Brazilian Emigration with a café. Why? Because the families of Czech Germans who lived in (not only) this area of Bohemia moved to Brazil. The Museum of Horní vsi was also opened on the school’s first floor. This museum commemorates the twenty depopulated villages of Ralsko and their inhabitants.
Náhlov was not among the abandoned villages. It lied on the very border of the military area, so “only” a special regime applied. A military farm was built here, which offered people work and also rentals in houses left behind by displaced Germans. Náhlov has fortunately recovered from the military influence, and the village is now blossoming.
