To Doksy to visit the Waldstein family (Doksy, CZ)

For several centuries, the chateau in Doksy was owned by the famous aristocratic Waldstein family. They last lived there in the first half of the 20th century. This comfortable residence in the style of a First Republic villa was enhanced by a park with tennis courts and a lake for ice skating in the winter.

The exposition at the Doksy chateau will bring you a multimedia experience

Although they have not lived here since the end of the second world war, visitors today can literally peek into the Waldstein living room.  In a tour of the chateau you will learn about their life and the traces they left in Doksy and the surrounding area. The lathe in the living room is a nod to Count Waldstein‘s love for handicrafts. You will also be able to visit the functional bathroom and other personal rooms of the aristocrats, who are still remembered here for their kindness.
