Rpck gate

You are standing under a natural arch, watching with awe how infinitely creative and diverse nature can be. The origin of this rock gate is, similarly to the Psí kostel cave, tied to the dissolution of carbonate in the rocky outcrop of the calcareous sandstone. The gate is about 5 metres wide and 4 metres high. Since the gate formed in a single block, it is a so-called true rock gate. Thanks to its dimensions, it is one of the largest sandstone gates in northern Bohemia. On the ridge, several other blocks have formed, like the gate, by medium- to coarse-grained sandstone from the upper part of the Jizera Formation. Coarse pseudoscrapers have developed on the tops of both rocks. Especially the eastern rock provides a view to the north.
